Erin Zapcic
Picture
Erin Zapcic is best known as the first Queen to grace the throne at Medieval Times on the east coast. Her reign as Queen Doña Maria Isabella has included not only delighting thousands of fans every week, but has led to appearances in VOGUE, New York Magazine, and the Today Show. She has also appeared in the critically-acclaimed web series on Amazon Prime called CASTERS, and has produced two short films that have gone to festival. Her first short film, Daydreamer, recently completed its festival run and can currently be viewed on Vimeo and YouTube.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Zapcic grew up singing and acting in her mother's community theater. After graduating from William Paterson University with a degree in Music/Theater/Communications, she moved back home and continued to work in local theater while maintaining a full-time job. Like many up-and-coming actresses, Zapcic worked a variety of jobs, including municipal work, retail, and waiting tables. Always pushing herself and not giving up on her dream, she went into figure competition to keep her body in shape and her mind focused and disciplined.

As a lark, Erin's mother suggested she check out the local Medieval Times to see if they were hiring any talent. Zapcic was hired as a Wench -- eventually becoming a Princess and ultimately the Queen, just as the franchise was updating their program after having a King hold court for 34 years. Not only was this a pivotal role in Zapcic's career, it was also a milestone for the iconic Medieval Times franchise, audiences, and women of all ages across the country.

With the success as Queen in New Jersey, Zapcic moved to the West Coast and is now part-time Queen at the Medieval Times in Buena Park, California. Currently, she is working on a short series with other female filmmakers and has several projects in various stages of development. She is also a member of The FilmmakeHERS, a supportive group of women actively creating film and television projects with a mission to educate, support, and advocate for female filmmakers and digital content creators. Her ideal role would be a character in a smart, feminist comedy with critical acclaim and a cult following. Zapcic greatly admires the work of Aline Brosh McKenna, Rachel Bloom, Ryan Murphy, Jenji Kohan, and Marti Noxon.
